This morning we went to Westminster Abbey for about 2 hours. Westminster Abbey is an old church with a bunch of people who were buried there and a bunch of statues. It is where kings and queens are coronated.
Then we went to the Tower of London, we got a guided tour from a beefeater. It was really cool seeing the guards at the towers. Our guide was really funny. He told a story about a 12 year old king that went missing and he pretended that I was the king. Then he asked me if I would lead the rest of the tour and I said “I don’t know anything about the tour.”And then he said “Neither do I. Do you think I know this stuff? I just make it up!”he said sarcastically.
After that we walked across Tower Bridge. In part of the bridge there was a glass floor and a mirror above so you could look up and see down beneath the bridge. Then we had a nice Italian dinner.

As you can see, Luke definitely liked the Tower of London more than Westminster Abbey. We all (the grown-ups) enjoyed the Abbey. The architecture is amazing. They have had every coronation there since 1066! It was interesting to see all the kings and queens buried there, as well as many famous people, including Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Chaucer. There is a cool small chapel dedicated to the memory of the airmen from all of the allied countries who died in the Battle of Britain.
The Tower of London was great. I had been there once before, but that was in my freshman year of high school, so there was a lot I’d forgotten! I had never been a pedestrian on the Tower Bridge and really enjoyed it. The high walkway was fun. When we looked down through the glass floor, there was a mirrored ceiling so you could see yourself and the road below at the same time.

That sounds like fun being a King for a while. However that see through bridge looked pretty scary. You, however look right at home gazing down…no fear of heights! All the sights you are seeing- your pictures are fantastic. Keep having fun.
