This morning we had to get up at five to get the train to the place where we get our tour of Normandy beach where D-day happened also on our tour we got to go inside a museum about D-Day. Our tour guides name was Laurent. He was really nice and energetic.
Then at about 10:00pm we had a yummy dinner and dessert at Le Bouquet de Grenelle.

What an amazing day we had today. We took a train to Caen and went with a tour of the D-Day beaches. We started at the Memorial Museum of Caen and had a great tour guide, Laurent. He was with us the whole day and I’m not sure how he had the memory and energy for all of it. When we finished the museum tour, we had lunch then headed to Pointe du Hoc, which is between Utah and Omaha beaches. Then we headed to Omaha beach and the American cemetery there. Finally, we headed to Gold beach, where the British came ashore and the town of Arromanches, where they built a port to get supplies in for the Allies. There we saw a 360 degree movie about the 100 day Battle of Normandy. It is amazing to think about the young men who gave so much for all of us!
